DIVISIONS:
All delegates:
**Must be at least 25% Hispanic descent.
**Must be a resident of the state of Connecticut.
**Must remain a resident of the state of Connecticut, as a city titleholder and during her reign as a state title holder, should she win the state pageant.
Miss Petite CT Belleza Latina
Ages 3-5. Must be at least 3 and no older than 5 as of the start date of the State pageant. Delegates participating in the CT Belleza Latina state pageant may be 2-2.5 years of age when they apply/enter provided that they reach their 3 years of age prior to the start date of the CT Belleza Latina Pageant. 2011 Pageant Start Date: October 29, 2010
Little Miss CT Belleza Latina
Ages 6-8. Must be at least 6 and no older than 8 as of the start date of the International pageant. Delegates participating in the CT Belleza Latina state pageant leading to the International Galaxy Pageant may be 5 years of age provided that they reach their 6th birthday prior to the start date of the Jr. Miss Galaxy International Pageant.
Miss CT Pre-Teen Belleza Latina
Ages 9-11. Must be at least 9 and no older than 11 as of the start date of the International pageant. Delegates participating in the CT Belleza Latina state pageant leading to the International Galaxy Pageant may be 8 years of age provided that they reach their 9th birthday prior to the start date of the Jr. Miss Galaxy International Pageant.
Jr. Miss CT Belleza Latina
Ages 12-14. Must be single and never married as of the start date of the pageant event.
Must be at least 12 and no older than 14 as of the start date of the International pageant. Delegates participating in the CT Belleza Latina state pageant leading to the International Galaxy Pageant may be 11 years of age provided that they reach their 12th birthday prior to the start date of the Jr. Miss Galaxy International Pageant.
Miss CT Teen Belleza Latina
Ages 15-18. Must be single and never married as of the start date of the pageant event. Must not have ever had a child. Must remain unmarried during her reign as a state title holder and as the international titleholder should she win. If a Teen is engaged to be married during her reign as Miss CT Teen Belleza Latina she will be disqualified and stripped of her title. NO exceptions.
Must be at least 15 and no older than 18 as of the start date of the International pageant. Delegates participating in the CT Belleza Latina state pageant leading to the International Pageant may be 14 years of age provided that they reach their 15th birthday prior to the start date of the Miss Teen Belleza Latina International Pageant.
Miss CT Belleza Latina
Ages 19-29. May be divorced, widowed or a single mother.
Must be at least 19 and no older than 29 as of the start date of the Miss Belleza Latina International Pageant event. Delegates participating in the CT Belleza Latina state pageant leading to the International Pageant may be 18 years of age provided that they reach their 19th birthday prior to the start date of the International Pageant event.
Ms. CT Belleza Latina
Ages 30 & Over. May be married, divorced, widowed, single mother.
Delegates participating in the CT Belleza Latina state pageant leading to the International Pageant may be 29 years of age provided that they reach their 30th birthday prior to the start date of the International Pageant event.
Official Language
Spanish & English are the official languages of the CT Belleza Latina State Pageant & Belleza Latina International Pageant™. It is not a requirement for delegates to speak any English or be perfectly fluent in Spanish.
ENTRY FEES:
An entry fee is required to enter the CT Belleza Latina State Pageant as a delegate/city queen. The fee amount is $475. Delegate may seek sponsors or may pay the entry fee herself. Payment may be made by personal check, money order, or PayPal. Delegates may make payments toward the total entry fee.
Payments of any amount must be made at least every 3 weeks until the total fee is received. Failure to remit payment every 3 weeks may result in loss of title and fees paid.
Delegate's title will be assigned once her full $100 Deposit has been received. Her crown and sash will be ordered after entry fee payment has been received in full by the CT Belleza Latina Pageant.
The CT Belleza Latina State Pageant is self-supporting and relies solely upon entry fees to cover production expenses. Production expenses include but are not limited to: advertising, hotel rentals, performers’ fees, judges' expenses, staging, supplies, prizes, awards, International Pageant Entry Fee etc.
As of date, the entire percentage of the entry fee is directed back to each delegate in the form of crown, sash, entertainment, parties, gifts, and prizes.
Refund Policy
All fees paid to the CT Belleza Latina Pageants are NOT REFUNDABLE and NOT TRANSFERABLE in full or in part for under any circumstances. This includes, but is not limited to entry fees, advertising fees, pageant admission ticket sales fees, guest meal fees and any other fees paid to the CT Belleza Latina Pageant by anyone including, but not limited to, delegates, sponsors, and advertisers.
DEADLINES:
The entry deadline is posted on the CT Belleza Latina Pageant website. Entry fees must be paid in full by the entry deadline. There will be no exceptions under any circumstances.
All required delegate paperwork (e.g., Interview Form, Emcee Card, Traje Tipico card etc.) must be complete and received by the CT Belleza Latina Pageant STAFF by the paperwork deadline which is posted on the our website.
All deadlines are strictly enforced and must be adhered to by entrants.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Photography - Entrant must submit a headshot photo for the Belleza Latina website & Official Program Book. Also, a Photogenic Photo as specified in Competition Judging section. Only photos for the website and program book, may be emailed to ctbellezalatina@yahoo.com. Photogenic photo must be handed in at pageant registration, during pageant weekend.
Attire - Delegates provide their own competition and opening number attire.
Travel - Delegates make their own travel arrangements. The CT Belleza Latina Pageant, is not responsible for arranging travel for the pageant competition.
Hotel - Delegates are required to stay at the host hotel (unless delegate lives close enough to drive from home to pageant events each day & arrive on time). Delegates and their families must make their own hotel reservations.Minors - Delegates who are under 18 years of age as of the pageant date must be accompanied by an adult. The CT Belleza Latina Pageant assumes no responsibility for minors.
CODE OF CONDUCT:
Entrant affirms that she is and will continue to be a person of good moral character; that she has not committed and will not commit any act inconsistent with the highest standards of public morals and conventions or that will reflect unfavorably on the pageant, its representatives, sponsors and/or licensees; that she has not appeared in nude or provocative photographs for any film or publication prior to, during the preliminary or pageant finals, or during her reign should she become a State Winner & Titleholder.Delegate will conduct herself in a courteous, professional manner at all times during the CT Belleza Latina Pageant and while representing a Belleza Latina title.
Delegate will not slander or libel other contestants, judges, Belleza Latina Pageants, the CT Belleza Latina staff or anyone else involved with or connected to the Belleza Latina Pageant System. Defamatory verbal and/or written remarks against Belleza Latina Pageants, Inc. and the CT Belleza Latina Pageant will result in immediate disqualification, forfeiture of any and all prizes and awards won, and legal charges.
Any delegate found publicly posting slanderous remarks on public forums will be immediately disqualified.
Good sportsmanship is expected at all times. Disruptive behavior before, during, or after the pageant may result in disqualification, removal from the premises, and legal charges.
Delegate agrees to sign a Code of Conduct statement indicating agreement to abide by the terms specified here. Failure to sign the Code of Conduct statement does not in any way release delegate from responsibility to abide by the Code of Conduct stated here.
All issues related to the Code of Conduct and consequences for violation thereof shall be determined solely and exclusively by the CT Belleza Latina Pageant. Entrant agrees to accept such determinations made by CT Belleza Latina both as to herself and others.
Participation in CT Belleza Latina State Pageant Events
Delegates are expected to be on time and present for all scheduled rehearsals and events leading up to and during the pageant finals. In the event of illness, a delegate may be excused from attending an event. The CT Belleza Latina Pageant State Director, Marizol Gore, is the only individual with the authority to release a delegate from a scheduled event.
International Winners’ Contract:
If any of our State Titlholders should win the International Pageant, the CT Belleza Latina pageant staff will do its best to assist her in fulfilling her obligations as the International titleholder, but is not obligated to provide her with transportion or a camera for appearances.
The CT Belleza Latina staff has posted the International Winners' Contract, so our delegates may know the expectations and requirements of an International Titleholder for Belleza Latina International™. If our State Titleholders should win the International Pageant she must be prepared to abide by and fulfill the requirements.
If selected as a Belleza Latina International™ pageant winner, delegate agrees to sign a contract stating agreement to arrange and make a minimum of 15 appearances throughout her year’s reign. Appearances may include but are not limited to parades; radio, television and newspaper interviews; and public appearances at events. Winners are expected to provide Belleza Latina Pageants, Inc. with photos of appearances for the Belleza Latina International Pageant® website and promotion. If delegate is unwilling to sign the contract and/or unable or unwilling to fulfill the obligations, the title won and all prizes will be awarded to the first runner up.
The reign of the three overall Belleza Latina International Pageant™ winners (i.e., Miss Teen Belleza Latina™, Miss Belleza Latina™ &, Ms. Belleza Latina™) will commence immediately after crowning and will end immediately following the crowning of their successor.Belleza Latina International Pageant™ titleholders agree to make monthly contact with Belleza Latina Pageants, Inc. by phone and/or e-mail.
Belleza Latina International Pageant™ titleholders agree to provide Belleza Latina Pageants, inc. with photocopies of articles pertaining to her reign and pictures of appearances for the pageant history scrapbook.
Overall Belleza Latina International Pageant™ titleholders agree that they will not enter any other pageant or compete for any other titles during their year’s reign without the prior written permission from Belleza Latina Pageants, Inc. The Belleza Latina International Pageant™ title is the overall winners' main pageant-related priority. Winners are expected to give their time and energy to this title and this title only during their year’s reign. Permission for Belleza Latina International Pageant™ titleholders to participate in other pageants will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
Winners may have a modeling, commercial tie-up, personal management and/or agency contract, which contract however does not include, authorize or permit the use of the name of the Belleza Latina International Pageant™, or any other registered tradename, trademark or logo of Belleza Latina Pageants, Inc., or any title designation or reference with respect to the pageant in any manner.
International winners agree to attend the next year’s pageant to crown their successors. Winners’ travel, lodging, and meal expenses will be arranged for and paid by Belleza Latina Pageants, Inc.
Publicity and Promotion
By virtue of participation in the CT Belleza Latina Pageant, delegate agrees to allow the Pageant the right to use her name, likeness, voice and/or biographical information for purposes of publicity and promotion now and in the future. Delegate understands that her name, likeness, voice, and/or biographical information may be used on the internet, in print advertising, press releases and merchandise related to the Belleza Latina International Pageant (e.g., t-shirts, tote bags, hats, other apparel, mouse pads, and other promotional materials.) Delegate agrees to release Belleza Latina Pageants, Inc. from liability for any injury resulting from publicity and promotion. Delegate agrees to waive any and all compensation for use of her name, likeness, voice, and /or biographical information for purposes of publicity and promotion. Photography & Videography
Disqualification / Title RelinquishmentDelegates and their families are permitted to take photos and video during events leading up to the on-stage pageant competition event. Cameras or videography will not be allowed during any on-stage competition events. Individuals who fail to comply with this rule will be asked to leave the venue without benefit of refund for admission ticket. Professional photography and videography will be made available by the Official CT Belleza Latina Pageant Photographer and Videographer.
If delegate is disqualified or relinquishes, for any reason, any title awarded to her, all prizes must be returned in full, and in condition received. If, for any reason, any of the three international winners resign or are disqualified, the 1st runner-up in the appropriate age division will assume the title and all prizes.
Limitation of Liability / Responsibility
a.) The CT Belleza Latina Pageant, its officers, employees, and pageant personnel are not responsible for accidents, injury or theft incurred at the time of the CT Belleza Latina State Pageant or the Belleza Latina International Pageant or travel to and from.
b.) The CT Belleza Latina pageant is not responsible for negligence or fraud on the part of the host hotel.
c.) The CT Belleza Latina pageant is not responsible for arranging local, national, &/or international travel or intervening / resolving disputes surrounding international travel to the United States of America for the pageant competition.
d.) Belleza Latina Pageants, Inc. is not responsible for providing an interpreter for delegates who do not speak or understand English. Please note that the State Director is fluent in Both English & Spanish, and the pageant will provide the delegates with bilingual judges.
e.) The CT Belleza Latina Pageant is not responsible for loss, theft, or damage caused to any and all prizes, gifts, and awards bestowed upon entrant after these items become the property of entrant. Entrant agrees to incur replacement and/or repair costs to lost, stolen, or damaged items including but not limited to: crown/tiara, sash, plaques, trophies, etc.
Agreement
By submitting the entry form and fee(s) to CT Belleza Latina, delegate agrees to abide by all policies, rules and regulations set forth by the CT Belleza Latina Pageants. Participation in the CT Belleza Latina Pageant also indicates acceptance and agreement to abide by all policies, rules and regulations set forth by the CT Belleza Latina Pageant. Delegate attests that all information submitted to the CT Belleza Latina Pageant is true and accurate. Falsification of information and failure to comply with the policies of CT Belleza Latina may result in immediate disqualification and/or forfeiture of prizes won without benefit of refund in full or in part at the sole discretion of the CT Belleza Latina State Pageant.
